This work was designed for Karakuri Puzzle Party in Hakone 2018.
“Is it possible to make items of system such as Binary or Ternary with avery clear design?” I wondered about this so I decided to try and see if Icould do it. There are only 3 “drawers”. It is the minimum number that weneed to fully enjoy the system. There are only 2 devices. When you havesolved the puzzle, you can finally open the bottom drawer. The mechanismused for RF-38 “Canon Chest” was used.

This is a drawer of Quaternary system. It takes 32 moves to open (exceptfor opening the lid). When only the left “drawer” is opened, you can openthe bottom drawer. You can find the “Comb”-shaped groove that also appearedon the RF-28 “KING CUBI” device. At first glance, the groove looks like itis a shortcut. And as you move the parts it works well. Please experiencethe wonder.
