Wooden joints of traditional architecture is really fascinating.
“I wish I could make a new item from such joints”
This item was designed based on some joints.
There are two spaces inside.
A hollow chisel mortiser was used to make this because the motif was joint.
But machines are usually used for architecture or furniture.
So this was extraordinarily difficult to make this smaller item with the chisel.
The Yosegi of “Syachi-Sen” part was made by the late Yoshiyuki Ninomiya.
