This work was designed for Karakuri Puzzle Party in Hakone 2018.
“Is it possible to make items of system such as Binary or Ternary with avery clear design?” I wondered about this so I decided to try and see if Icould do it. There are only 3 “drawers”. It is the minimum number that weneed to fully enjoy the system. There are only 2 devices. When you havesolved the puzzle, you can finally open the bottom drawer. The mechanismused for RF-38 “Canon Chest” was used.

This is a drawer of Binary system. It takes 8 moves to open (except foropening the lid). When only the left-side “drawer” is opened, you can openthe bottom drawer. I think this item may be the easiest item to understandthe binary method. When you maneuver this while looking at the window, youwill understand the binary method easily!
