This Phoenix Box was made as the second version of "Apricot/P-36" which wasmade in 2002. Yoshiyuki Ninomiya made Yoseki parts and Haruo Uchiyama madeZougan parts. Yoseki and Zougan are not a pasted wood inlay like traditional trick boxesin Hakone. So, these wood inlay are the only one and are different a littleeach other. Patterns on the surface is the story that Phoenix is commingfrom wood inlay. The mechanism is mainly slide. But it's difficult to open this box becausethe movements have many misdirections. Of course there is a trick in the wood case of Phoenix.
